The Church Commissioners undertook an exceptional initiative to utilise the underutilised space beneath an existing tower block. This innovative strategy resulted in the development of a thoughtfully designed residential project by Fletcher Crane Architects.
Bella served as the lead interior designer, collaborating closely with both the client and the architects to create a sophisticated and contemporary interior that harmoniously integrates with architectural elements such as the exposed CLT frame, extensive glazing, and the original structure.

The design proposal sought to optimize the utilisation of existing materials, specifically concrete, glazing, and the timber framework of the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) structure employed in the construction of the new building. These materials were seamlessly integrated into the interior design scheme, which included natural timber light fixtures, porcelain tiles with a concrete finish, and glass kitchen units. The result of this comprehensive approach was a contemporary, design-focused residence equipped with durable and aesthetically pleasing fixtures, ideally suited to meet the demands of everyday family life.
